One of Dartmoor’s up-and-coming craftsmen, Ambrose hand-makes contemporary furniture using traditional techniques such as steam bending. He sources his wood from coppicing and careful woodland management. “A hand-tooled finish addshuman warmth to the furniture, which a machine finish lacks,” he says. He is pictured putting the final touches to his Windsor chair, which takes him four days to make.
