EXHIBITIONS
As part of The Dartmoor Artisan Trail, photographer and trail founder Suzy Bennett went behind the studio walls of 28 of the moor's finest artists, makers and producers to capture them at work.
Her subjects include Dartmoor’s most celebrated artists, including Oscar-winning Lord of the Rings illustrator Alan Lee and internationally-acclaimed sculptor Peter Randall-Page. Also photographed is Luke Shepherd, a sculptor who teaches London surgeons facial reconstructive surgery, Jane Deane, a textile designer who breeds her own silk worms and Yuli Somme, the UK's last remaining maker of burial shrouds.
There are also faces from Dartmoor's food and drink scene, including Ed Hamer, who runs community-supported farm Chagfood, Ron Barter, who produces cider in mills dating to Saxon times, and Greg Millar, Dartmoor's first whisky distiller.
The next exhibition is being held at Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre, Princetown from 26th May to 22nd August, 2017. Free entry.
